Savage Coffees

Anthem

In 2022, we were approached by legendary producer Jamison Savage who offered us coffees for that season’s competition run. Anthem, a beautifully nuanced & sweet Gesha, was one of the first two coffees that we roasted at the shop. Having been frozen as green ever since that season, it is with great honor that we are sharing this special coffee as part of our first competition drop.

Savage Coffees

Jamison Savage produces some of the world’s most renowned coffees, having had several award-winning coffees used at national & world competitions at different stages with unparalleled success. Most recently, Jamison’s coffees were used by the 1st, 2nd, and 3rd place winners in the 2024 World Barista Championship.

Among the multiple estates managed by the Savage Team, Savage Coffees is a Producer Partnership Program that matches coffees from talented local producers with advanced fermentation techniques and methods proprietary to the Savage estate to produce the highest quality coffees.

Anthem

This coffee follows a classic natural processing.

Coffee is meticulously harvested at peak ripeness and then slow-dried for up to 20 days on a three tiered raised bed system.

Competition

Anthem was used in the 2022 season of the U.S. Brewer’s Cup by former team member and colleague Caro Hughes, for which they reached semi-finals at the National stage.

Caro brewed this coffee on the Orea V3 while giving a presentation based on the different flavor qualities the different flow rates create. The resulting cup was an elegantly balanced coffee with a deep brown sugar sweetness, a fragrant vanilla aroma & captivating florals.
